| Photofinishing Pricing Systems
GBI is one of the largest supplier of laser bar code pricing terminals in the world. These terminals are available in many forms. OnLine pricing terminals come with a 40 key keyboard with display and a laser-reader-printer. Some keys are preprogrammed by GBI for general use while others can be configured by the lab for single-key pricing or discounts (coupons). The lab may use our price programming software or tie in to their existing software. This terminal also connects to any packager and captures dealer and envelope numbers, quantity of prints and promotional data. The combined information is transmitted to any host for pricing, then printed at the base of a false bottom envelope along with a multiple line message. This process virtually takes place while the next set of prints are being cut. Off-line pricing terminals are similar in function to the on-line pricers, however counts need to be entered manually. Off-line pricing terminals are used most often for ancillary work and to alternate as off-line login stations. Our 610 pricing station has an expanded keyboard to accommodate more single key pricing in an offline function.
Our Pricing Stations can serve dual pricing and login functions.
GBI also has the ability to interface to most packaging stations to Price at any Automatic Packer including Gretag, PAKO, Photo Engineering and AGFA. Our protocol converter links the communications between the automatic packer and our pricing system. Work passing through the packer is priced by the host computer, with the packer's facilities.
Our popular 520 On-Line pricing stations will improve the throughput of your cutting stations by removing the pencil from the operators hands. This proven method has been successfully implemented by most medium to large sized labs.
Another available option is our UPC label printer applicator. When connected to our pricing station a UPC label is applied to the envelope instead of printing to the false bottom.

Other features that can be added to the billing system include:
An ethernet (fast network) link to our customer service system (PCSS) for up to the minute customer service information without daily update procedures. With this option customer service personnel and the voice status response system (OnLine) will be able to provide callers with more timely information.
Duplicate systems for crash protection. This feature is available in several levels from duplicating hard drives (mirroring) with real time data update to fully duplicated systems (near fault tolerance) in the event of a server breakdown.
